GDPR Policy
As you have probably heard, data protection laws are changing as of 25th May 2018. You may have received similar emails and notifications from other organisations who may hold any of your personal data.
The purpose of this policy is so that you are fully aware of how MYGUK Music Education keeps your datasafe.
What Do We Keep?
As an organisation, we hold very little data in our online capacity about you. The main information that we hold is contact-based information. This is predominantly your:
*Email address that was provided when you first registered.
*More recently, any mobile number that you have provided.
We only use these as a point of communication between you and ourselves.
We do not store any addresses/Postcodes (if you have ever provided these to us) in any online system.
We never share any of this information with any other agencies.
We do not allow any other companies or organisations to advertise on our website.
The majority of our promotional advertisements are made through social media. Information regarding events or holiday activities may be sent via email to you. If you do not wish to receive any of these, please let us know.
Our recent text message service is used mainly for the purposes of short information provision, notifications or reminders. We avoid this as an avenue of product/service promotion.
As an organisation that works with children any registers, group lists or records are kept on our own locked computer system. These are not provided to anyone else, except your child's school if they request these. This information is always sent via encrypted email or a locked Google Drive to maintain confidentiality.
What Do I Need To Do?
If you are in agreement for us to continue as usual, then you do not need to contact us. We suggest that if you think your contact information has changed since first provided, please update this through the blue registration form found at https://www.myguk.co.uk/online-reply-forms.html.
This form is the one that is usually completed at the start of each academic year.
Good practice determines that we delete any old contact details and/or personal data. If you think that we may hold multiple email addresses for you, please let us know which one that you would prefer us to contact through in future. If you are happy for us to continue to use all provided email addresses, then you do not need to update this information.
Thank you for taking the time to read this important information update.
