Policies and Procedures
As providers working in a variety of schools we will always adhere to and adopt the policies that our individual schools lay out. Below is a description of how we will follow and implement the policies in general.
Safeguarding
MYGUK believe that every child is entitled to a safe and happy environment. All adults associated with MYGUK are committed to this statement. Anyone accessing the facilities offered by MYGUK will also accept these principles and should anyone have any concerns, we will seek the advice of professional agencies including the Social Care team if we feel it is in the interests of safeguarding your child.
We work closely with our individual schools and their procedures, making sure that we are aware of the current legislation. If we have any concerns regarding children whilst in schools we will refer this to the designated Safe Guarding Leader immediately. In our preliminary meetings with the school, we ensure that we have access to their safeguarding procedures. In some instances we have participated on the school's safeguarding training.
All staff wear lanyards so that they are identifiable to both children and school staff
Our Home Based Tuition page details our safeguarding procedures for this service.
Collection & Release of Children
This relates to after school clubs operated by MYGUK. At the end of the school day we will collect the children from the classrooms (or if authorised by the school, children will come straight to our designated room.) We will then take over the care of the children throughout the duration of the session. At the end of the activity we will only hand children over to adults who have been named on the 'Collection of Children/Release Form.' This must be completed prior to the children starting the after school club. The form details clear procedures of what parents need to do if the names of persons collecting needs to change. We recognise that last minute changes do occur and if necessary we will make double checks with the schools to check on the credentials of any individual collecting children.
Complaints Procedure
If there is the reason for a complaint we would kindly ask that it is emailed to the main email address. We believe that working together we can resolve any issues that arise. We are human and occasionally will make some mistakes or oversights. Please use this as the resolve channel rather than using Social Media to voice any complaints.
Equality & Opportunity
All activities are offered to all children regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, ability or religion. We will challenge any comments or unacceptable behaviour that would bring the British Values into disrepute. We will report any of these instances to the school and work in line with their policy regarding this.
Behaviour Policy
We expect children to demonstrate an excellent standard of behaviour at all times whilst participating in our activities. Children receive rewards, stickers and occasionally sweets for good behaviour, working hard and practice outside of the lessons. Children receive certificates for participating in 6 week activity programmes. Where we feel that behaviour is not of an acceptable standard, we will speak to the school and inform them and if we feel necessary MYGUK will contact the child's parents/carers.
Communications Policy
We aim to communicate as much as possible via the company email address [email protected]
Paper copies of tuition confirmation letters are still available; however we do try to maximise the use of electronic communication. Emails will receive a response as quickly as possible.
SMS messages are sent as a means of reminders and information updates.
Our social media platforms are mainly for general information rather than communication with specific individuals.
Payments Policy
Parents are kindly asked to use the following procedure for making payments:
Cash or cheques are to be sent into the child's school in a sealed envelope or the return envelope that we provide. We ask that ALL TUITION IS PAID FOR IN ADVANCE.
BACS payments are becoming more favorable and this information is displayed on letters that you receive from us.
Receipts will be issued via email.
Payments made by educational establishments can be made either by cheque or using their LA remittance service.
