A Message From The Director
Thank you for visiting this web page. I do hope that you find all of the information here that you need. However, if you require more assistance, please contact me through the form on the home-page and I will be more than happy to help you with your enquiry.
My name is Peter and I began the service of 'My Guitar & Ukulele Clubs' (now renamed MYGUK Education Services) in September 2013. By profession I am trained as a primary teacher (holding a BA QTS Primary Education) with 17 years experience in the classroom. Before I left my employment at a local primary school, I was working as a UPS 3 teacher. Furthermore, I have nearly 20 years of instrumental experience.
The reason for setting up this service is to provide great quality education services for children of the primary school age phase. However, as the business has developed I have found myself teaching a variety of age ranges.
Children should have as many opportunities as they can to explore learning in a stimulating and enjoyable way. Therefore combining my passion for music, creativity and enjoyment of teaching, I hope to encourage as many children as possible to persevere with the skill of their choice.
If you would like to find out more about MYGUK Education Services, please complete the 'Hello' form on the home-page.

How do I know which clubs/tuition programmes my child is eligible to participate in?
- You will receive a letter from us, via your child's school at the beginning of the autumn term. This will detail the clubs, days of operation and the price. We do aim to be competitive with our school activity prices.
- Visit your child's school through the 'Registration Portal' to see the list of all activities provided.
How can I register my child for clubs or tuition programmes?
We would suggest using the Registration Portal, as the forms are sent directly back to us. Alternatively, use the registration form that you will receive on the letter in September.
When do school based activities operate?
All activities usually start in the third week back of the autumn term. We usually operate all clubs up until the final week of the half term and the penultimate week of the full term. There are sometimes variations at the end of the autumn and summer term.
How much do the activities cost?
Prices are displayed on the letter that you will receive from us in the autumn term. Alternatively, please ask.
Please note that we now provide Activity Books to accompany the clubs & tuition programmes. Although these are not compulsory we would highly recommend that you obtain a copy as the teaching is based on these. These books are designed to provide your child with the activities but also to provide you with information.
Does my child need to own their own instrument?
At present with the situation due to Covid, we are asking that all children have their own instrument. Parents can contact us for further information regarding places to purchase from. Alternatively, you can ask us about hire and hire-purchase (subject to availability.)
How do I find out about instrument hire-purchase?
Children are able to hire-purchase ukuleles and guitars from us (subject to availability.) We will provide further information regarding this once you have received a confirmation letter from us.
How do know if I am a 'Registered Customer'?
You will be given a school code.
Do all the staff hold a current DBS Check?
Yes, absolutely! We conform to all current statutory safeguarding legislation.
How do I know when my child is due to start their activity?
You will receive a confirmation email from us.
How do I communicate with the MYGUK teachers?
- Your child's tutor's email address will be displayed on the confirmation letter. If it is not, please just assume and send any emails to [email protected].
- You will find the SMS number at the top of this page.
- Please use the Contact Form on the home page.
What is the 'Collection of Children/Release Form'?
This form is only for children who participate in any MYGUK after-school clubs. The form will ask you to detail the names of any person(s) collecting your child from the club. We only release children to the named contacts or the contacts that are known and have been authorised by the school.
Do MYGUK take photographs of the children during the activities?
Only with your permission which is sought prior to any photographs being taken.
How do I make payments for my child(ren's) activities?
This information is displayed on your invoice. We no longer accept cash or cheque payments.
As a local business, we believe in championing the causes of those charities and social action projects who are working in the local area but also further afield. We especially want to support those projects who work to enhance and improve the lifestyle and well-being of children.
In recent times we have been able to support Life Church, Bebington with their 'Stuff The Sleigh' appeal. Proceeds that were raised from our Christmas Giveaway were donated towards the purchase of Christmas presents for disadvantaged children who live on the Wirral.
We also support The ENid Project https://www.facebook.com/AACGuatemala/ which seeks to support children with special educational needs overseas.
